12 Ways to Roll into 2024 in Las Vegas

Southern Nevada has gone into festive overdrive and is now radiating holiday cheer. In the meantime, here’s a few more newsy bits of info and ideas for your Vegas Vacay as we start to roll in 2024…  

As One Door Closes...

December is your last chance to board the Starship OPM for your nonstop, warp-speed flight through the universe featuring some of the best in-flight entertainment in the galaxy. The final flight is set for New Year’s Eve, and they’re gonna rollout with a bang. Individual and group packages are available including tickets to OPM (two showtimes available), a four-course prix fixe dinner at Superfrico, a specialty New Year’s Eve celebratory cocktail, and all the Spiegelworld surprises.

Two More Open...

On-Strip the long-awaited (18 years to be exact) Fontainebleau Las Vegas has set its opening date for Dec. 13 and is situated on Las Vegas Blvd. adjacent to LVCC’s West Hall and upcoming expansion. Off-Strip, locals chain Station Casinos will open Durango Casino & Resort on Dec. 5. Located just off the 215 and Durango, visitors to Spring Mountain National Recreation Area will have a new option for a pit stop to rest their head for the night.

123 - 123 YES, I DO!

Before counting down 3-2-1 into the new year, many couples are planning on 12/31/23 as the day they also start their new lives together as husband and wife. The Wedding Capital of the World is expecting this unique date to be an enormously popular wedding date. Not only is it NYE, but also forms a rare numerical sequence of 1-2-3-1-2-3. 

If you’re looking for a quick place to say I do, but don’t want to miss out on the NYE party? Roll over to the The Plaza Hotel and Casino for a fireworks show, which includes a special viewing party on their rooftop pool deck. Last Chance to Soak in the Holiday Season

Visit Henderson for holiday nights. Winter at the Terrace returns to Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino through the winter season. The holiday-themed pop-up lounge offers cozy igloos and fire pits, twinkling lights, cheerful music and photo opportunities. 

The Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel M Chocolates features millions of sparkling holiday lights across three acres of desert landscaping. Running through Sunday, Dec. 31, the experience is complete with sweet treats, hot chocolate and visits from Santa.

Soar Into 2024 with Sparkling Skies

Celebrate New Year’s Eve East Coast Style with a 9 p.m. fireworks display at Glittering Lights at the Motor Speedway! Perfect for the whole family, this event combines the festive lights of the holidays with the sparkle of ringing in the new year – all from the comfort of your own car. Guests are encouraged to line up at 8:30 p.m. 

Adults looking for more of a party atmosphere can roll to Downtown Las Vegas where the Fremont Street Experience hosts the official NYE party of the City of Las Vegas, complete with a midnight countdown to a fireworks spectacular on the Viva Vision Canopy, and four stages of live music. This year’s performers include Third Eye Blind, Big Gigantic, and Blackstreet, to name a few.
