All around the USA everyone is getting ready to celebrate our country’s birth, including the Las Vegas Territory. We’ve rounded up the top 4th of July activities taking place in Southern Nevada. From cruises to concerts, and everything in between, you can pick your own star-spangled adventure, all of which are topped off by a 9 p.m. fireworks celebration.
Boulder City – 4th of July Damboree Celebration
Boulder City is gearing up for its 74th Annual Damboree Celebration. It’s a quicktrip away from the neon lights of Las Vegas to discover this small town celebration of the birth of our country with a full day of patriotic activities. The day starts with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast sponsored by the local Rotary club and a 9 a.m. parade through the city. The party picks back up at 4 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park culminating in a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Henderson – Free Lonestar Concert
The City of Henderson is celebrating the 4th in style with a free performance from hit country band Lonestar. The makers of the global smash-hit “Amazed” will have a home-grown opening act, The Dollheads, winners of The City of Henderson’s 2022 Battle of the Bands. We’re excited to see what sounds this dynamic brother-sisters trio of young musicians bring to the stage.

Lake Las Vegas – Yachting in the USA
Lake Las Vegas is a quaint man-made lake just a short 30 minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip. Here you’ll find a shopping village which lines the lake, filled with delicious restaurants and sweet treats. It also houses Lake Las Vegas Water Sports, which will host a 4th of July Paddle. Prefer to stay dry? Take the Yacht Cruise which provides a 90 minute excursion touring the beautiful lake while enjoying the sounds of a DJ and drinks a plenty. You may be away from the city, but don’t worry about missing out on the tradition of taking in a fireworks display. Lake Las Vegas has you covered with a fireworks show taking place at 9 p.m.

Laughlin – Rockets Over the River
Like Mesquite, Laughlin has a few hotels and several landmarks to reconnect with nature for some much-needed R&R. Literally located on the Colorado riverside, the area also offers plenty of options for water activities such as jetskiing, swimming, and river cruising. The city will celebrate our nation’s birth with a Rockets Over the River fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. visible from all hotels/casinos. The display will be choreographed to music which can be heard over the loudspeakers from all of these properties as well. For the best view, check out Laughlin River Tours 4th of July Cocktail Cruise. Space is limited and we imagine these tickets will go fast!

Mesquite – For the Low-Key Patriotic Getaway
If parades and concerts aren’t your thing and you’re looking for a little rest & relaxation during your holiday weekend, check out Mesquite. You can easily escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with our country’s natural habitat at the several national parks and trails in and around the city. We’ve also heard they have a fantastic golf & spa package at Casablanca Resort (though you’ll have to call the resort and check on availability). Don’t worry – you don’t have to skip the holiday entirely. There’s still a Rockets Over the Red Mesa fireworks display happening at 9 p.m.
Downtown Las Vegas – For the Rooftop Viewing Action
Prefer to lounge around? Downtown Las Vegas will be popping with daytime pool action and nighttime prime viewing as sparks fly throughout Southern Nevada. The Plaza Hotel has its own show at 9 p.m. on Independence Day. Legacy Club at Circa has a ticketed viewing with specialty cocktails of the skyline from 60 floors above to take in the unforgettable spectacle surrounding the Vegas valley. Main Street will be shut down from Carson Avenue to Ogden Avenue for pedestrians.

Star Spangled Sports in Southern Nevada
There’s nothing more Americana than sports and sparks. Las Vegas Motor Speedway will fuel up on the fireworks following some NASCAR short track racing on July 3. Or, take me out to the ball game and head out to The Ballpark as Las Vegas Aviators take on Round Rock Express with post game fireworks on July 2 and 3.
