Animal lovers, unite! Looking for a way to celebrate World Wildlife Day in Las Vegas? Las Vegas Territory is full of wildlife adventures for you to embark upon.
There’s wildlife right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip! Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino houses Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, a 4-acre sanctuary with exotic birds, fish and turtles — including beautiful Chilean Flamingos. This experience is free of charge and open daily for guests to walk through.
Head over to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve and sit in awe as you admire the birds native to Southern Utah, as well as thousands of migrating waterfowl. Don’t forget a hat, sunscreen, walking shoes and of course binoculars for a day full of bird watching.
Lion Habitat Ranch welcomes wildlife fans to visit with several lions, birds, and even a painting giraffe! Guests can take private tours, feed some of the animals, and experience wildlife right in the outskirts of Henderson. The facility is open Thursday through Monday.
Travel North of Vegas to Mesquite and visit Camel Safari, where you’ll find more than 30 camels, a two-toed sloth, an African-crested porcupine, and many more unique creatures. Spend the day on your own private safari golf cart and tag along with zookeepers as they feed and care for the animals.
