My Tourism Experiences began in Arizona. I began as Director of Sales for Reata Pass moving to Rawhide 1880 Western Town as Director of Sales. There I was exposed to various types of the travel industry (Tour and Travel, Incentive, Associations and Corporate). Here I was also exposed to membership involvement; such as ASAE. HSMA, Site, and serving on the Fiesta Bowl Committee. Before leaving Arizona I became regional Sales Manager for Budget Car and Truck Rental. Being involved with the Valley of the Sun Convention and Visitor Bureau as well as the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce where I developed most of their Fam Tours. I stared a Tour Company named Barkley’s International Tourism Services before moving to Nevada.
Moving to Las Vegas in 1998 I freelanced until opening ASAP-Las Vegas (the quality destination management company) in 2001. Again seeing how important it is to be involved in Travel Organizations I became a member of Las Vegas Territory in 2007 where I have held offices as Membership, Co-Chairperson, and currently Treasurer. Again I have organized a Fam Tour. Assisted with the development of by-Laws, and establishing the organization as non-profit.
